How Hearthand Came to Be
Hearthand was founded in Phuket in 2019 by a small group of coordinators and educators who had watched families struggle not from a lack of love, but from a lack of structure. Busy schedules, unclear communication, and the pressures of modern life were quietly pulling households apart — even when everyone genuinely wanted to stay close.
The founders drew on backgrounds in organisational education, facilitation, and community work to build a service that felt nothing like a formal institution. Sessions are held in welcoming settings, conversations are never recorded without consent, and the pace is always set by the family.
Since opening, Hearthand has worked with families across Phuket — long-resident Thai households, expat communities, and multigenerational homes navigating the particular rhythms of island life. The name reflects a simple belief: that a home with strong roots and open hands is a home that can weather almost anything.

No session notes are shared with anyone outside your family without written consent. Families own their information.
Ongoing Facilitator Training

We handle all personal data in line with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and our published Privacy Policy.
Non-Directive Facilitation

Our Approach
Family Coordination as a Daily Practice
Families in Phuket navigate a distinctive mix of Thai cultural rhythms, island logistics, and — for many — the additional layer of living far from extended support networks. Hearthand's programmes are built around this reality. We do not import a generic framework from elsewhere; our work is grounded in the patterns, priorities, and pressures of everyday life in Mueang and across the island.
The families who find Hearthand most useful are often those who already communicate reasonably well but feel they could do so more consistently — or those navigating a particular transition, such as a new arrival, a change in working hours, or adult children taking on coordination roles for older parents. Our sessions provide structure without rigidity.
Coordination, at its core, is a learnable skill. Our facilitators bring years of experience in organisational education and group facilitation to help families develop habits that hold — scheduling systems that get used, communication patterns that reduce friction, and shared understandings that make daily life run more smoothly.
